Yesterday was my schools annual "Battle Of The Bands" and, as last year, I decided to help set up. Except this year I was going to stay for it. Things were going smoothly with one of two mishaps but, with everything I do there are always a few mishaps.I had spent in excess of 6-7 hours planing and preparing our drama studio for the event. Then with only 6 hours before the doors were going to open disaster struck.
Dr.Gowens who's drama studio it was, decided to say we could no longer use it as a venue. We were stuck.. We had already pre-sold tickets so it had to go on. We had to move in to our school hall which is made for doing formal events not for Rock Concerts.In the space of just 1 hour we had a plan on how to make this work. With people with lots of contacts we managed to get some lights which arrived in just 1:30. We then ran around the school manically trying to sort out a digital projector. Next thing we know the pizza arrived meaning bands were turning up in just 25 minutes.. After playing with projections we managed to pull an event off with only 6 hours to prepare for.
There is now another Dhtml experiment in the stuff section. I saw an assembly at my school using an affect to pull words up on to a page and thought I could make something like that so I did.
Well the blog is now up... It is also available in RSS...
Well its May.. No real news just a filler event..
