Jam Jar - Monday 14th February 05

Another year,
Another Day.
Your still as cool,
In every way.

I love your smile,
And your eyes.
I hate the time,
For goodbyes.

My love for you,
Is always here.
So there is,
Nothing to fear.

The poem I wrote for my girlfriend on St Valentines Day

PlayStation Portable - The best hand-held? - Friday 4th February 05

Bill Gates said that people want everything in one device. Well, Sony have the hand-held answer to this request. Ok, when itis out of the box this is essentially a gaming device; aimed at the games audience. However, with the huge display it is also hitting the portable media market. The rise in video phones shows there is a definite market for this type of functionality. The PSP comes with Wi-Fi built in, this is primarily for multi-player gaming and for firm-wear updating. However, I am sure it will not be long before someone ports Linux on to a UMD (Which having 1.8GB of space should hold a nice version). Complete with a USB keyboard this could be a whole portable office kit on your pocket. The PSP can also take memory sticks so you can play your favourite MP3's (you won't have to convert them all to ATRAC) from the console. Another function is slide show, to show of your photos to your friends. It is also rumoured that Sony will produce the software to surf the web and check your emails while in hot spots. It looks like the only thing this device won't do is be a phone, or will it...

So this gaming device only enables you to play multi-player games (wireless), watch films, review photos, surf the web, check emails, listen to MP3's... If Linux is successfully ported you could even load up a word processor and type a document. It sounds to me like this could be the product to look out for. With a starting price of only £180 on Amazon. I am sure this price will come down in the not to distant future.Bill Gates said that people want everything in one device.
