I couldn't decided if I liked this photo better in black and white or in colour. I felt some of the colours in the background were really off putting in the colour version.
Two of my favorite things: bokeh and christmas. Luckly they go hand in had with each other.
Christmas tree (miniature) in the background with my LED head torch to illuminate my friend. Luckily it only took a couple of shots to get this one as he started to complain of arm ache.
Todays DailyShoot Challenge was to take: Black and white photographs are a classic look. Make one today and go for high contrast. Dark blacks and bright whites.
So that is just what I did. Taken while meeting up with Ben for a quick coffee. It was my first ever visit to a "Pret A Manger" and if I am honest I won't be rushing back.
On the board above the paying stations at this Pret, which as a side note was organised like a McDonalds, they have small and large sizes listed. So naturally, I asked for a large latte to drink in, to which I was told, "sorry we only sell one size to drink in", That was followed with a vacant pause by the cashier as if a response was required from me. To which I replied, "Well I guess I will have a one size latte to drink in then". What kind of coffee shop can't sell more than one size coffee?!
That is about as exciting as my day got today. How was yours?
Bit of a dull picture I know but this is what I was sitting next to while working today so it seemed appropriate. Anyway who doesn't love mass storage rack mountable servers?
A long day traveling today. Managed to grab this photo just before I fell asleep. Considering my alcohol levels at the time I am quite happy with this shot.
Tomorrow is going to be a travel day so my bag is once again going to be my lifeline for a couple of days. Luckily my bag (Crumpler Half Muffin Top) has special compartments for my camera, my laptop and every thing else I will be needing.
After not leaving my house all day I decided to go and fill Asha's car up with petrol with her. The time of year really twists your arm with respect to the number of outdoor photos you can take during daylight. So nighttime bokeh filled shots it is.
There is a lot to be said for laying down your mouse and keyboard and picking up a pen. All to often in this modern world we forget that.
This isn't quite the shot I set out for but ultimately it shows what I am doing right now. Working into the night with a glass of Baileys to keep me company.
Walking home from the office today I thought I would take a stop by Trafalgar Square. Really wish I had my tripod out with me but managed to use the available surfaces to get some nice shots anyway. I have wanted to get some night water shots for a while now. A dolphin spitting a constant stream of water what isn't to like?
Todays dailyshoot challenge is patterns and repetition. So I give you repetition. The radiator next to my desk using a light angled along the top of the radiator just below the camera.
Rubber band balls, duckies and reflections. What more does a photo need? So I basically realised that I didn't have long to get a photo today so quickly grabbed a couple of items from near by.
