Venturing outside to try and take tonights photo showed me just how cold it was out there. As the days draw shorter there are really very few hours of the day to catch photos so this is lit entirely by the street lighting. Considering how dark it was out there I am quite happy with how light the bench looks.
I spent this evening working at the Student Radio Awards taking photos. I took this shot of the sound desk during a break while waiting for the main awards ceremony to start.
Taken while walking over the foot bridge by Charring Cross Station. I had to get down on the floor to steady the camera enough as I didn't have my tripod with me.
This was in response to todays Daily Shoot task. This was created by lying a mirror down to use as a reflective surface and clever placement of lights and coloured paper.
I almost forgot to take this picture and remembered that I hadn't taken a photo just before crashing in a hotel room. Needless to say I crashed in room 527.
Landing in Brighton I decided to have a walk around the Brighton Royal Pavilion Gardens. It would seem a cartoon monster was here before me and got hungry.
Created by shooting a flash through a A3 sheet of white paper. The paper gives the background the texture. I really like the condensation that has built up in the bottle and tried to find a way to do it justice in a photo, I think I just about managed that.
Strobist: 430EX fired at 1/4 power 30cm behind the paper, bottle 30cm in front of the paper. Triggered with Cactus V4's.
This photoshoot consisted of 50 shots. Of which 2 have 'acceptable' focus. Not entirely happy with the focus on this but it had the better facial expression.
Strobist: EX320 two meters to the left fired on 1/4 power through the built in wide panel. Triggered using cactus v4 triggers.
More and more of my shots seem to be me and trains. Anyone would think I spend a lot of time on trains. This was taken on the way home from a very long day in the office.
I have spent the whole of today feeling half asleep. This is mainly due to being worken up (and kept up for a number of hours) last night by drunk housemates. This is what I have wanted to do all day and now I am going to do it. Goodnight.
Strobist: 430EX on 1/64 power, fired through a sheet of copy paper to act as a diffuser 1 meter diagonally down and left of shot. Triggered with Cactus V4 triggers.
